Team Based Gamemodes
Capture the Wool (CTW)
Description
Two opposing teams face off to capture each other’s wool(s). Each team have their own
‘wool room(s)’ where the wool is stored and only enemy players can enter it. A player
will have to enter into the opposing team’s wool room to retrieve the wool for their own
teams. Once that player has the wool, they will have to bring the wool back to their side
of the map and place it on a ‘victory monument’ to successfully ‘Capture the Wool’ and
win the game.
5 Capture Point (5CP)
Description
5 Capture Point is a game mode that consists of five points on a single map that
represent the amount of control a team has. The objective is to capture all five points in
sequence or control more points than the other team until the time limit is over. If your
team captures all five points before the time limit ends, your team automatically wins.
King of the Hill (5CP)
Description
King of the Hill, also known as “3
Capture Points” (3CP) is a gamemode where you must capture
points/hills to increase your teams’
score. Each map is composed of 3
points. If you have all 3 points
captured (known as triple capping),
your score will increase faster.
However, triple capping is
extremely difficult to do, so most
teams focus on having at least 2
out of 3 points. The first team to
reach the score indicated on the
scoreboard wins the game.
Unlike 5CP, there is no sequence in how you capture the points and there is no time
limit. You get to choose where to send players and which points to focus on. Therefore,
KoTH is a fast-paced PvP based gamemode which allocates great importance to
rotations between points and choosing fights to commit to.
King of the Flag (KotF)
Description
KotF is another heavy PvP based gamemode. It is characterized by its single Flag that
is, at first, located in the middle of the map. The objective is to go grab that flag (by
passing over it/standing on it) and, as a team, protect the flag carrier for the longest you
can. After the first flag carrier of the game has been killed, the flag randomly respawns
at one of the three flag spawn points, which you can easily locate in the pre-game.
